| Comment | I've friends in Bournemouth. I really liked it, particularly the climate. It's a small but significant step more temperate, and brighter for longer. It is, of course, literally the other end of the country though.
I've lived in Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow.
I would say Glasgow is the best balance of cheap (Edinburgh accommodation is, genuinely, beyond your nightmares), good nightlife (pubs; gigs etc.), and you can get out to the highlands. |
