I've never known St Andrew's day to really be celebrated. At all.
It's not like St Paddy's or St George's where folks go to the pub and get rat arsed on Guiness or Lager (delete as applicable). Scots defo put mor focus on Burns night (I can tell you the date for that but ask me when St Andrews is not a clue!)
