This should have been handled so much better.
They should have been upfront about their relationship (to the point of deliberately bringing it up) and gotten *ahead* if any bad optics. She should have recused herself from any decisions remotely related to this.
I am in two minds if she should resign. Not for any reason of corruption (that hasn't been proven) but for being to.mind-numbingly naïve.
Public trust in politicians is less than zero..they need to understand that they must prove their innocence. |
