I got a job through a Skype interview before I arrived but I've changed jobs since then and it was quite easy to find one imo, the trick is to apply to everything through indeed Reed totaljobs and maybe a recruitment agency, you will have multiple interviews booked during one day in no time.

You can create a UK bank account with revolut/Monzo/n26/Bo or any other challenger bank with a temp UK address or your current one.
