Two years ago a guy was shot down 100m from my flat in Glasgow. I moved flats right after this. Constant stabbings and significant number of brutal rapes, burnt cars. I spent couple of months in US earlier this year and did not feel less safe than in here, it was the opposite. If you look at this statistically, chances of getting shot is very, very low, probably lower than chances of getting stabbed here. It's a matter of perspective I think. I felt much safer in Poland (I am Polish) then in the UK. Met a guy that came to Glasgow from Melbourne and he says he feels safer in Glasgow then in Australia so they are having a plague of rapes in Melbourne.

My point was that saying everywhere in Europe is safer then in the US is simply not true. And while US is getting better, crime in Europe is getting worse, mostly due to uncontrolled migration. My friends who live in Germany are moving from their area because of large groups of migrants are making a lot of trouble.

I honestly would feel much safer in Glasgow if I could carry a pepper spray or something to protect myself and for my wife especially. She was calling me today that a guy is following her and shouting something to her.
