Thank you I will do that. One of the things they said to me last month was you have received over £700 in the last 4 weeks and I said no, I can show you that I didn't through payslips, through the Universal Credit page but then I thought they must have added the housing element on top of my wages and I tried to explain that money gets paid to the landlord, I don't see that.

Also I have a family member who owns their own home, 2 bedroom up and downstairs about a mile from me and they pay £90 per month with a single person discount. They work over 40 hours a week. I'm doing 12 hours a week and I'm now at £150 council tax and my single person discount keeps changing.

One of the things they did tell me was my letter gets sent out around the 9th because that is when my Universal Credit payment gets paid.....even though I get £0 every month and if I don't pay the council tax before the 9th when that letter is generated then it means it will go up the next month so I have a feeling they will use that as an excuse, even though the letter shows you all the different dates you can pay the council tax.

Another thing said to me a few months ago was the year ends for them in February and that is why my council tax total is £400 and when it resets next year it should be different. Well obviously it kept going up so I'm set to pay over £400 and that's with them extending it 1 month so that I can pay in March too.

I've done the Glasgow City Council council tax calculator and if I have done it correctly it says my council tax should be £14.96 per week and water and waste is £4.95 per week and I did that last month too and they told me on the phone I had done it wrong.

I would love to know and have been thinking about certain places online just to ask people.....how many of you work 16 hours per week and what is your council tax. I'll even keep it to certain bands, I'm band B. I don't know if there is something to the year ending in February and I've only been paying since July and not a full year but every month it seems to get worse and worse and yet I'm not earning anymore, I'm earning less.
