| Comment | Any time I mention on here cycling is...not optimum in this city unless you're lucky enough to live on the routes which are decent for it I get eviscerated by folks who seem to think as long as there's a route it's great for cycling. Nice to see a different tone in this thread and people accepting that from many places it's far from ideal to cycle here. Would be great to see us aim to be like Copenhagen or the Netherlands or whatever - obviously it would take a long time to get to their level but they also went from not really having the infrastructure to where they are now, it's doable for us in theory at least and it'd be a great "green" boost for those in power to point to. |
