| Comment | Easier to let I guess. In Scotland number of furnished properties always was higher then unfurnished (I'd say ratio 65%-35%). Renting a flat is quite expensive at the beginning, you have to pay first rent plus deposit so usually something between 1500-2000 out of the pocket so peeps do not want to spent another 1000 quids on furniture not knowing how long they stay at rented place.
I know in Germany for example, flats are rented without even kitchen furniture and appliances but that is completely different market. |
