| Comment | Thanks everyone for the responses! I'm in a kid/pet free household so am able to be more flexible about things. I'm actually super keen to get a dog that requires lots of training and attention, I'm big on committing to these things and investing my time. I'm doing a lot of touring of the country midway through next year so lots of opportunity for outdoor fun for a dog.
Upon reflection I think I'll go to Dogs Trust and see if I can rescue a pup instead of buying.
