Got off a train in Port Glasgow many years ago and saw two blokes nicking a carpet out a shop window. They looked at us and did the 'ssshhh' sign. I also worked in Poundstretcher and someone stole a fully decorated display Xmas tree. The more blatant you are the more you're likely to get away with it, it seems.
