Comment | The sia licence is just a basic bit of training (at a cost of a few hundred) that lets you legally work security jobs. The actual standards required to pass the training and do the role are incredibly low.
I had the misfortune of working for g4s for a short time at football games and events and 90% of those with badges were absolutely useless, lacking in social skills, logic and probably would be a liability in a dangerous situation.
With the security jobs being fairly low paid and mostly pretty fucking miserable work it unfortunately attracts a large cast of people who wouldn't get hired in many other industries. |
