Usually you will find a few staff who don’t care, or are happy to get the double pay. I used to know a Jewish guy who loved it.
I think it’s important that there are some places open that aren’t pubs, accounting for alcoholics and their friends etc. Granted though, it would be better if less people had to work in general.
