| Comment | This pisses me the fuck off. That the Tradeston end is blocked off is one thing (there's a massive hole in the quayside that's not been repaired - which is an issue in itself). But the series of fences and sealed gates at the side of the squinty bridge, which *should* be open to allow access to the path that goes eastward to the Quay, is an absolute pain in the arse.
I'm a novice cyclist who would cycle into the city from where I live in a heartbeat, if there were a safe route that avoided the need to encounter road traffic.
The frustrating thing is there's an *actual fully built cycle lane* that connects the Quay to the city centre through Tradeston, there's just no way to get there legally without cycling along the PR.
Glad to see someone else raising this. I'm thinking of writing to the ward councillors about it, and think others should too. |
