| Comment | CCTV is useful for tracking once you know who you are looking for, it's crap for recognition due to quality and the storage requirement to up the quality are horrific.
This is why people are so keen on facial recognition - an HQ stream can be scanned by the computer, people identified and then the low-res stored but with people tagged.
Although that does open the Orwellian nightmare of being recognised wherever you go by state (or private) information systems. |
