Do you have a car? Whitelee wind farm is decent for a walk. Can be as long or short as you want because it goes on and on for ages. There’s a visitor centre with toilets and a cafe but it’s pretty south of Glasgow and I don’t know if there’s public transport.

Pollok park, Mugdock park, Barrhead Dams. Those are your country type parks.

You could follow the cycle path either direction from the city centre. It goes all the way to Loch Lomond heading west and out to Bothwell (I’m sure) the other way but you’d be walking a fair bit till you were out of urban areas and into the countryside.

There’s also the Glasgow mural trail in the city centre of you want to look at walls rather than trees. Ha!

Really though, if you want a decent forest type trail you would probably need to go further out. It’s mostly just parks in and around Glasgow.
