If anyone is ever stuck like this, phone a taxi company. Tell the operator you're stuck with a flat battery and ask them to put a call out asking drivers with jump leads to come help. Most of us carry leads. We get this kind of call more often than you probably think. Driver will expect a wee fiver bung for doing you the solid.
