It's taken me a long time to find a work/life balance after racing towards burnout in my early 30s. Last year I took a lower paid job with a fraction of the stress and haven't looked back. No emails stacking up or phone ringing at all hours. Whilst earning less money might seem like a step backwards, having my weekends & evenings free without worrying about targets/bonuses has been huge.
