Higher Universities are just terrible. Communist killed and distroyed a lot of polish professors (google Katyn genocide).
A years after comunism was simingly gone (all 90s and most of 00s) government was still steered from russia and it still is in some degree.
Police and military is mentally in old times, not comparable to Scottish Police that are friendly and approchable. Tortures and physical assaults are common at Police (google Igor Stachowiak). This is all remains after communist times when Milicja (communist police) where allowed to torture and kill people that were opposing the regime. There is a lot more we inharited and still are dealing with. |
