A great, fun and cheap night out can be had at Cosmopol on Hope Street.
They usually have some kind of cheap deal going (last time I went (I think) it was a bottle of some kind of beer plus a shot of green strong stuff for £3) ... and it's usually a good, fun night out listening to some karaoke.
