I work in Govan and stay in the West end. It has its issues but I can't say that Monday to Friday 9 to 5 its much worse than areas now apparently gentrified like Partick and Denniston. There are lots of really beautiful tenements in Govan. They have the new hospital, building the new bridge there and building a uni campus there. Imagine this is deliberate on Glasgow City Councils part to try improve an area close to city centre and west end. I think a purchase in Govan is a good investment and this new infrastructure will lead to increase in demand and property prices. Additional security measures in the meantime aren't too expensive.
