Aye it's the so called death-of-the-highstreet that experts have been warning us about for years, it's happening all across the country.

It was in my fuckin geography textbook 10 year ago! Huge plots of cheap land on the outskirts of the city being bought over by developers and filled full of shopping centers, restuarants, gyms etc.

Fact of the matter is city center rent is just unaffordable or inefficient for a lot of businesses. Unless the council/government can subsidize the market rates for city center lets then it's only going to get worse.
