Labour has been a joke in the council over the years but how are they to blame for this when the SNP run the government now?
It’s pretty well known that the SNP government (Holyrood) have completely neglected council funding ever since they’ve came to power back in 2007. They have the power to scrap council tax and bring in a progressive tax and have promised to do so but we are still waiting.
The last Holyrood budget wouldn’t have passed without Green support unless the SNP offered more funding to councils (and it’s still not enough). |
