A lack of Council funding is not a uniquely Glasgow problem though, almost every local authority in the UK has had to scale back on vital services since 2010 and the introduction of austerity.

There absolutely is an argument as to whether the SNP could have done more to try and lessen the impact, but I'm not entirely convinced there's much they could do. We are dealing with an ideological tory party who for 10 years have systematically cut funding to local councils that have put lives at risk and removed cultural and learning from towns and cities that desperately need it.

They promised us austerity was ever during that election campaign, it won't be long before we learn that that was utter bullshit.
