Edinburgh is absolutely shite for shopping though. Everything is just so spread out and there are just so many people there, especially in summer, and it can genuinely feel claustrophobic at times. A new shopping centre doesn't really change anything for Glasgow, it's injecting some seriously needed life into major east coast retail.
