American living in Glasgow checking in. Go to Mother India for better Indian food than you've ever had in your life. You'll probably need to book in advance. Go to Stravaigin for good classical Scottish food. And try to get a steak pie for lunch somewhere!

If you want a good brunch, Urban West, Singl-end, or the Steamie.

On another note: bring a warm hat and sturdy walking shoes. This is a wet city, and I can't say much for the quality of the pavement.
