| Comment | I'll say what I said last time someone posted a *photo* of the thing they found, especially keys: please don't do it.
Now *anyone* can go pick those up. We know how many keys, what type of keys, the colour of the keyring, the writing on the label. Everything needed to go to a lost-and-found and claim it's your own.
Rule 1 of running a lost and found is announce you've found something but keep it vague.
And if you do intend on posting a photo of if keep most of it out of sight and inform the person you handed it in to what you've shown so they know not to ask for that specific detail when determining who to give it to.
And it's not just for keys. Anything. Backpacks, phones, hats, towels (though, if you lost your towel you're probably already dead) |
