I was looking at their menu yesterday and have massively high hopes for their French onion soup so glad to hear it's good!

OP - French food in this city is generally poor., unfortunately. Le Petit Cochon looks great but I haven't personally been. The only other place I'd suggest for French food (although they don't do French onion soup) is Bar Brett on GWR. A few very good French dishes on the menu, as well as tremendous wine and cheese.
