Comment | Glasgow has music in abundance, of all types, and is the first stop for bands that want to play the country, so you'll never be short of gigs to go to of all sizes. Skateboarding, theres Kelvingrove skatepark (look up the park if you dont know it) and its always rammed, and you'll usually see skaters practicing in the city centre around the Gallery of Modern Art. We've got fuckload of museums and art galleries, so you won't be lacking for that here. World famous architects came from here, and we've got the School of Art, though badly damaged it still teaches students and draws artists to the city. Culture, there's festivals on throughout the year, and you've got Edinburgh just an hours train away so you can visit for the Fringe but not have to live there and deal with the disruption. Plenty bars to brood in too, as Glasgow loves a swally. Teetotal myself all my life so I'll never understand the appeal of bars, but we have plenty. Hiking, you're sorted. You could look into munro bagging as a new activity. Plenty groups set up to do it on social media platforms. Occult? Don't know much there myself. We've got history of witches and folklore I suppose. You'd have to dig a bit deeper than I can advise. We're a really diverse city that can offer almost anything while still being affordable to live in. Sure the weather is sometimes shite but thats liveable as long as the people are good, and we are. |
