Comment | just to agree with others that, unlike other european countries, there is almost no significant history of antisemitism in Scotland so there isn't any real reason to expect 99% of people to have any reaction or care at all about your background. Simply put, there's never been enough of a jewish population here for anyone to consider it, we've got enough of our own ethnic/cultural divisions to keep such folk busy.
on the other hand, Glasgow is historically and culturally socialist/labour, and due to the links between that and the Palestinian cause, there is a small but significant anti-zionist fringe, and you *may* encounter the odd wank who considers you personally to blame for their persecution. Such people are, however, far more likely to be boring/annoying rather than actually threatening. |
