Comment	Best: Barrowlands, obvious reasons. Great: ABC when it was a thing was pretty much the perfect middle sized venue. Seen many a gig there. Atmosphere, sound, bars, staff, facilities all pretty much perfect. Stereo is very good. Great sound and good bars. Toilets were like something out of Trainspotting last time I were in though, didn’t even have working lightbulbs. Broadcast great too. Kinda like a smaller Stereo. Bar upstairs is a nice place to chill if you get there early and the downstairs venue is intimate and functional. The Garage (main room) surprisingly a good live music venue. They do put the prices up a lot on the bar compared to the club nights though, captive audience and that. Great sound and a decent capacity space. Being a club they do make you get tae fuck very quickly after the gig ends though so they can do the switch around. Cathouse quite good. Being owned by the same folk that run The Garage. Don’t put the prices up much either so good for the bars. Sound is decent. Also often let you stay in for the club afterwards so don’t have to deal with getting past the bouncers and up the stairs after a few drinks. Fruit market is really nice venue. Really nicely decorated like an... old fruit market. Sound was good when I was there and the bars etc were good too. Big space anol. Shame there’s not that many gigs there. King tuts - good venue but views are a bit crap if it’s busy. Great sound and great bar. Needs to be slightly bigger IMHO. Meh: O2 Academy - place is cold as fuck if you’re early and gets way too hot at the main event. Bars are alright but pricey and often a good queue but well staffed. Sound is usually pretty good to be fair and the security staff are sound. Toilets are awful way too small, right at the back (or front for ladies) and have the cheek to put those no spray no lay guys in who are quite rude. Hard to move around in when it gets busy. Also in a dodgy part of town with fuck all there (I know barras is too) Hydro - Corporate, expensive and soulless. Security is way too strict all the time checking tickets even if you leave the main room to get drinks and have a stamp on. I understand with the whole Manchester thing but it seems a bit OTT. Drinks choice is abysmal. Sound ranges from alright to meh. If you’re lucky enough to get a chance to get hospitality in the boxes that’s pretty good though. Never been seated so can’t comment on that. Looks awesome on the outside tho. Fingers are tired now

Great:
