| Comment | I only ever got one for parking on an (unserviced) bus stop and appealed it by citing some intricate road requirements that the existing signage didn’t follow.... (Brace yourselves.)
“The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 requires that the road marking of a restricted bus stop/stand must be used in conjunction with an associated upright sign (Schedule 7 General Direction 3) which is prescribed by Schedule 4 and, according to Part 2 Para 2 and 3 of the same, must:
- have a yellow background and black border as shown in blank diagram 1 in Part 1, and
- include a symbol of the size, colour and type shown in column 3 of the Part 3 sign table for the description in question.
There is no sign that matches these legal requirements at the location where my vehicle was parked. “
Took them a while to get back to me but they did cancel it. One of the proudest moments of my life.
Did they change the sign? Like fuck they did. |
