| Comment | It seems to be a lot of fear mongering, as far as I've seen the percentage of people who catch it and die is still at what seems to be normal for most flu strains and those seem to mostly be the old and infirm, unless it totally mutates and ends up doing what the Spanish Flu did and kills of mostly between 18 to 40 year olds, I don't think it will be much worse than a really bad flu season. I feel like the media(both social and traditional) has latched onto this far more than is necessary.
According to WHO the regular Flu leads to between 290,000 and 650,000 deaths a year and we're nowhere near that with corona, plus cases in China do seem to be dropping, they obviously could be lying about the numbers but I think so many eyes or on them now it might be harded than some make out to keep that kind of bullshit up. |
