| Comment | Had to reply to your post- please grab the opportunity- Glasgow is a diverse & welcoming city. It has its bad areas & unsavoury people- but if you’re at Glasgow Uni (west end where Iv lived all my life) you will be mixing with people of all ages, cultures, orientations etc. There are hundreds of overseas students & plenty of clubs, societies etc to enrol in. My English neighbour is a lecturer there & struggled with the Glaswegian accent but we are a friendly lot & you’ll soon be joining in with the banter. My eldest studied in nearby Edinburgh & he had to try keep up with their accent - you’ll be fine & welcomes ti our beautiful city ! Well done & good luck !! |
