It was a weird process, had been brining up my lack of attention span / difficulty reading / loosing keys every 3 weeks for a couple of months and my doctor passed it off as a ‘bad personality trait’. The final time I went back with a bit more determination and told him how much it was impacting my work/relationships and how it impacted uni and eventually asked for a referral to a specialist. Got a referral six weeks later and diagnosed at the appointment and given meds. Been on meds for a year now with my dosage pushed up to the high heavens! |
