If you just want stay within the city centre you can cycle from Glasgow Green, along by the clyde, up by Anderston train station to Argyle Street then onto Elderslie Street, keep going to get to Kelvingrove Park, through the park to Inn Deep, under the bridge and along the path by the river and you can continue along the path for as long as you like.
