Like I said, the financial implications of this mean nothing at this point. Do ground units have some sort of magical sixth sense that allows them to home in on crowds? Didn't think so.
The helicopter is up most days anyway. It would have spent no more than a few minutes monitoring and calling this in. Its not like it spent all day following 4 people about for hours.
People are getting really worked up about getting a small insight into the daily workings of the police and their equipment/assets. Proof positive that a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing. |
