My experience has been no matter the shop size and location, people don't give a fuck. I've not had to go for food yet, but when I do, I'll be heading to a 24 hour shop in the late evening early morning to avoid people.
Now I just need to convince my mum that hopping to the petrol station for food isn't an essential trip...
