Ahh the old "I'm personally okay so there's not a problem" argument.

There's about 60,000 students at UoG alone, and that's just one of the city's uni's. There aren't that many available flats in the city, and many of them don't even allow students to rent them. These Halls are often the only thing you can get in time for classes starting. It's a captive audience and these landlords take advantage by charging ludicrous rents for a shoebox room with a shared toilet.
