| Comment | They need to provide your details to the tenancy deposit scheme who will then notify you that your deposit has been lodged with them.
The landlord and you also have to sign a certificate which confirms the deposit along with the terms of the deposit and an information sheet. All this must be provided by the landlord.
To add, the landlord has 30 working days to lodge the deposit.
