| Comment | I have fished extensively in the Great Lakes and MidWest. imho, the fishing here simply does not compare. There is still "good" fishing to be had but it is not as easy to access as over there. If I am fishing around Glasgow, its always on stocked waters, and it's not that great tbh. If you are prepared to go really far afield to the Highlands or Islands, there are better wilder waters. Sea fishing is very badly depleted even very far North up the West coast. In recent years I have found the best fly and sea fishing to be had is on the islands. |
