"Italy will start a two step phase 2 on April 14th with a return to work of some industries: food supply chains, medicines and health products, agriculture and light industry geared to assist in the operation of the former. The second step will start on May 4th with the lifting of some restrictions on movement but still with a high emphasis on social distancing. There will also be blood tests carried out on a random sample of 200,000 people to gauge the exact spread of the virus. The Prime Minister, Conte made it clear that all of this will depend on the data but is cautiously optimistic that the downward trend will continue." |
