| Comment | Definitely a destination for the tourist who is interested in ancient history. I have been a camper for (cough) decades and never made to trip to Orkney, figuring it is too far, the ferry would be too costly and it would be meh. I was wrong on all accounts. There is at least a week of activities, visiting two or three sites every day. Just so much cool things to do and see. Standing in Scara Brae while the NHS guide tells you it was build thousands of years before the pyramids is mind blowing. |
