| Comment | I thought it was more historical continuity of constituencies - for example, while Milngavie might today have the appearance of a Glasgow suburb, back in the 19th century it was an entirely independent industrial centre, and it wasn't really until the post-war building programme that the two became as contiguous as they are today. So it made entire sense for it to be in a different constituency / council area originally. |
