I used to live there. It's a great area. Quite a bit of local crime going on etc but the area isn't a shithole. Most of it will pass you by and I don't see you getting accosted in the st.
That being said when I lived there I remember in about 09 it had one of the highest robbery rates in the city. Came third or fourth I believe to govanhill posso and somewhere else a cannae mind
