I’m not comparing iphone 4 with iPhone 10 in terms of their current prices. I’m pointing out that each edition of the iPhone is becoming less affordable relative to the average salary.

The global pandemic has created the demand for sure. Which has therefore put the price up. Which again just follows the usual rules of supply and demand which is not normally demonised in this way.

For example, if I held shares in a company and some big unexpected announcement of a merger or whatever suddenly boosted the value of my shares nobody would complain. My shares would be more desirable, and therefore more valuable. I’d just be a lucky guy who held the shares at the right time and could profit from that. If this guy had these masks sitting in his cupboard, and now finds that they are suddenly more desirable, why is he not allowed to put the price up?
