hey there! no clue if this helps but maybe you could try finding groups dedicated to an interest you have? eg. genre of music or movies, crafts/DIY, politics, whatever! Finding a local group may be difficult but if you do, making friends through that is waay easier! :)) means you already have a conversation starter as you will share interests with other people!
