That's not much of a budget, but you could get somewhere on the Southside. It'll be closer to Govanhill than many would like, but so long as you don't cross Victoria Road into Govanhill proper, it's OK.

For you budget, this was the [least bad](https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-69117363.html) I could find.

Plenty of buses, train station, Queens Park, Strathbungo with its bars and cafes etc.

Now, if you want to take more risk (financial and physical), ignore what I said and cross Victoria Road. The area seems to be up-and-coming, but it's been there before.

All that said, this is a bad time to buy for investment (a market shock is almost certainly coming). So buy somewhere to live instead.

Disclaimer: I've lived in/beside Govanhill on and off for 30 years, so I may be immune to some of its "charms".
