| Comment | I got a Golden Retriever last Spring. I’d set up alerts on champdogs and pets4homes with various breeders and eventually got a beauty from down Manchester way. I can PM you the breeder if you want.
One word of warning - they have fairly big exercise needs. At a minimum I walk him 2 hours a day, and that is off-lead in the countryside so he’s running the whole time back and forward etc. 2.5-3 hours off lead seems to fit him better though. If you’re planning on walking on-lead you’d need to double that. I’m lucky that I have some land that he can spend outdoors safely as well.
It’s a huge commitment so please consider carefully if you’re up to getting such a big energetic dog. |
