While aiming to retain 6 days worth of each blood type per week is the goal at scotblood - every blood type constantly needs topped up. Currently the most popular types are only just reaching this - without donations (due to people thinking blood donations aren’t needed/ donor centres closed etc during the covid crisis) shortages could ensue.
