Not English originally but grew up there and have a strong English accent, moved to Scotland for uni as well: your fellow students won't care and you'll mainly just get lighthearted banter and imitations. The locals on the other hand can be more hostile in my experience; I've been been into the wrong pub on occasion and been greeted with hostility and sometimes outright aggression by regulars at the bar when they've heard me open my mouth to order a drink. Also know a girl from Bristol who was forced to drop out of a different uni here because she was bullied so much by the others in her halls for being English. Another commentor was downvoted for saying it as well but they were right in saying you should also exercise caution around SNP/independence types, most Scottish nationalists to be fair are open and welcoming but there is still a significant minority of xenophobes and "bravehearts" who will give you a hard time (ironically though, some of the strongest anti-English sentiment I've encountered has come from hardcore Protestant/Rangers types).

Overall though the majority of people up here have been welcoming and friendly and you don't have anything to worry about for the most part. It should also be noted that where I studied was far smaller and less cosmopolitan than Glasgow.
